# Company History Founded in 1994 by the brothers Andreas and Toby Meyer, Solaronix is active in 3rd generation solar cell technology for over 15 years. The company addressed early on an international market by providing specialty products for research and development in Dye Solar Cell technology. Today, Solaronix serves hundreds of customers across 5 continents. Constant improvement of this photovoltaic technology is a priority for the Swiss firm. Constant research efforts on test cells led in 2014 to the construction of the world's first multicolored Dye Solar Cell façade. Initiated by an internal demand, Solaronix has also developed a new light source that perfectly mimics sunlight. This filament-free lightbulb is now used in the solar simulators sold by the company worldwide. Those same equipment allowed Solaronix to stress-test the materials and the solar panels produced for the SwissTech Convention Center's façade. Solaronix aims at the cutting edge of 3rd generation photovoltaics, by offering components meticulously validated, by producing innovative solar cells tailored for her customers' requirements, and by manufacturing exclusive continuous light solar simulators.
