Solixon Exclusive Large Area Solar Simulators

The Solixon equipments from Solaronix generate a perfectly true sun-like illumination, up to Class A rate over large areas. This unmatched behavior enables accurate solar simulation independently of type of photovoltaic material. It is thus very well suited for the characterization of today's Solar Cells absorbing over of a broad range of wavelengths, such as tandem and multijunctions cells.

The unique features of the Lumixo light engine allow:

• High fidelity Class A spectrum giving a high color rendering index (CRI 98%),
• Moderate power consumption and low residual heat,
• Fast light flow ramp up and short stabilization time for rapid machine startup,
• Hot re-strike enabling machine to be completely switched off between measurement sessions,
• Power flexibility to simulate partial sun illuminations from 20% sun to 110% sun,
• Possibility to combine light soaking and solar simulation functionalities with the same equipment.

Sunirad Our Light Soakers Product Line

The Sunirad equipments feature Lumixo light engine, having a spectrally matched emitter to the type of solar cells under test. The product range is comprised of Class A, Class B and Class C machines, for the budget minded customers. The spectral emission of the Class-C unit is especially suited for the light soaking of a-Si solar cells and Dye Solar Cells, which ensures minimal power consumption. The Class A and Class B units are suited for the light soaking of crystalline silicon solar cells, and for the aging of compound semiconductor based thin film solar cells.

The light soaking machines are built to be run continuously, allowing for long term tests lasting several months in a row.
